17 NUGGETS FROM TIWA SAVAGE'S MARRIAGE

A lot of us saw Tiwa Savage's interview where she aired (more like pata-hanging outside) the details of her marriage to TeeBillz. A few days ago most people were siding with TeeBillz because they thought "Oh what a terrible woman you must have been married to for you to want to jump off a bridge", but now that Tiwa has spoken...it clearly seems the problems were much bigger than Tiwa. This is not about Tiwa Savage.

OILLESS OKRA SOUP - GBAGBAFOFO (FITFAM FRIENDLY!)

Let me tell you an interesting story of how Bobo, my husband fell hopelessly in love with this soup. On my trip to Warri I bought a lot of my Niger Delta Spices and I had to time to visit a restaurant or two to have my favourite soups, I had Gbagbafofo and promised to make it for my family. Oya oh, we reached lagos and Bobo asks what's for dinner, I say Gbagbafofo, he's like "abeg give me Egusi", I tried to encourage him  to go for the Okra but he no gree, so I made two soups, Okra and Egusi

3 AWESOME WAYS TO USE SOCIAL MEDIA TO GROW YOUR BUSINESS!

I was invited to Abuja a few days ago for #StartUpFriday to talk about How To Use Social Media To Grow Your Business. That they could sponsor me and my family from Lagos to Abuja for that topic should show you how serious this Social Media Business is-you cannot afford to not represent your brand on social media because the benefits are immense! When I hear about a brand the first thing I do is Google them. It will be difficult to take them seriously or trust their business if they are either not on social media or their social media presence is very poor. So let's talk about ways to use social media to sell ya markaet!

ANKARA HEAD WRAP TUTORIAL

I picked out this Ankara scarf from my mom's collection  on my last trip to Warri. She has a lot of short scarf she does nothing with, a lot of Naija moms do. This one is such a beautiful pattern and it inspired the head wrap style-I love head wraps especially on days when I don't know what to do with my hair.

FIRST BITE: IS THE CHIN-CHIN BY LONGE FOODS WORTH BUYING?

I was doing my weekly shopping at Shoprite so I wandered into the aisle with biscuits, chocolates, drinks and all other ijekuje when I stumbled into this product. I love trying new things because how else would you have a new obsession if you don't try something new?!

I initially picked up one pack of the Chin-Chin and Bobo picked another. When I got to the till I realised they were different flavours....how did I miss this? I quickly sprinted back to that aisle and picked a third which turned out to be the Coconut flavoured Chin-Chin. Couldn't wait to try them!

HOW TO DEAL WHEN BABY BITES WHILE BREASTFEEDING!

Oh motherhood! I've heard of babies biting their mother's nipples and the day it happened to me I thought I was dying! Bobo was almost rolling on the floor from serious laughter... "these nipples are sensitive my fren why are you laughing"? Even Tito looked up from his position and was laughing. Kini gbogbo katikati ? Wozalldis?! Bobo's mum told me that her son, my husband, was just the same! Biting you while staring deep into your eyes to see your reaction. Like father, like son!

LIFE IN LAGOS : SISI WEEKLY #EP 43 "HOW TIME FLIES..."

I've spent the past couple of days thinking about how much time has gone by and that happened because I took time to sort out my baby's clothes that no longer fit. It was emotional. I separated the tiny onesies, the socks, the blanket I wrapped him in when he was born, the cute little shoes he wore before he started walking and every clothing item he has. I can't believe he has outgrown them all and he still has more growing to do!

HOW TO MAKE PUFF PUFF - MUMMY'S RECIPE

The last time my mom came to Lagos she made puff-puff and I got a lot of requests to film a recipe. Now on my trip to Warri I whipped out the camera and begged mummy to make puff-puff. It was so delicious and she had her own signature recipe that includes ....pepper and onions! This gives it a different flavour from the puff-puff you get anywhere. I think this is why my dad is happier on days when he eats puff-puff. Fun fact: this ceramic bowl below is older than I am! My mom won it in a school competition when she was a teenager and imagine...we still have it! I also have an extremely easy way to make Puff Puff HERE

RAPE: WHOSE FAULT IS IT?

Beauty Blogger ZaraBeaute expressed her opinion about whose fault rape is and I want to address 3 points. First of all, I would like to applaud her bravado for talking about such a sensitive subject - the kind of topic that can destroy your career if you nor talk better tin.  Remember This Post about Rape? I'll be brief:

She talked about the double standards and I agree on only that point. Men too get raped.

The best pepper soup you will ever taste is from the Niger Delta because they have all the spices and if you have this recipe, you don't need another.
