5 AWESOME WAYS TO CELEBRATE FATHERS DAY

It is important that we celebrate fathers day, it is just as important as Mothers Day. Fathers Day is just around the corner. Sometimes, fathers get side-lined, they act like they don't care oh, but they do. I mean, who doesn't want to be appreciated once in a while ? These ways to celebrate Fathers Day will pull your family together and make him happy. Don't forget to celebrate the father figures in your life: your father, father-in-law, husband, grandfather...

GIVE DAD A DAY PASS
This is going to be fun. He can have anything he wants (that is reasonable lol ) or you can find printables online or make them yourself and print it out. Cut these printouts into tiny pieces, and every hour of the day he can pick one of the print outs and whatever is on it, he gets. e.g scratch his back, rub his feet, sleep uninterrupted for 6 hours, free massage, pedicure (they need it!) LOL

GIVE HIM, HIMSELF
Find an artist to do a beautiful painting of him (his favourite photo) and gift this to him on fathers day. He would love it! It's such a thoughtful thing to do.

A GIFT CARD
A webcard from MallForAfrica will be perfect. Create an account for him and ask him to pick any item (within budget sha)  from any store in the UK/US. He probably has no clue he can shop abroad and have it delivered to Naija within a few days. Even though we know we cannot afford as much as dad can, we can try to look for something they've been eyeing or something they need but never mentioned. You may notice his wallet is worn out, or he needs a toiletry bag, buy him one. It's not about how much you spend, its the thought that counts.

HIS FAVOURITE MEALS
What is his favourite meal? I bet he has about 3 meals he finds irresistible, dish it up all day! Give him that pounded yam! Go the extra mile. Breakfast, lunch and dinner should consist of his favourite meals. The way to a man's heart is where sef?

TELL HIM
Above all else, tell him how much you love him and appreciate all he does for the family. At the end of the day, let him know that his presence is irreplaceable. Say it! Praise him. Your appreciation would be the perfect gift even if you buy him nothing.

  3. So true.. fathers can get shortcomings on Fathers Day. Even a card, small cake, bbq,or family dinner in his honour is great. My dad is my only parent left and resides in another country. But.. I plan to call and pray that I have the finances to travel to see him this year. Happy Fathers day daddy! May God keep and protect him from harm
