CHINA TIMES RESTAURANT - REVIEW !

Hey fellow foodies association, I have an exciting review today!!! I love Chinese food, interestingly I never liked it when I was younger, but now, love it! If you’re my friend you will know that we went to Dubai for our honeymoon and we came across this restaurant in Dubai. I’ve never heard about it before and I was so willing to try it! Its called China Times…before I go on I’d like to beg China Times to come to Nigeria because I liked the set up of the spot in the mall…please come to Lagos China Times. In fact, I’ll send them an email! LOL. If you're ever in Dubai, I'd recommend it to you.

HOW TO BUILD SELF CONFIDENCE…WELL, HOW I BUILD MINE!

I was asked a couple of weeks ago about how I am so confident, I didn’t even think I was! For me, like others it is a journey...when I was in secondary school, and even university, I was not confident at all. Not being confident can stem from a number of things: from your upbringing to the kind of friends you keep. Today I’ll share tips on how you can become more confident! Share yours with me as well! We are all growing...

Well, Bobo and I had to go to the mall over the weekend to pick up fitness gear for the gym. It’s about time we both got fit: walking to the car, walking up the stair and doing arumba style does not count as exercise anymore. We have to up our game. We shall present to you a Bobo with 8 packs and a Sisi with flat belle and ukwu soon! This is quite counter productive on the ibeji level sha… LOL.

BURJ AL ARAB SUITE & HOTEL TOUR - HONEYMOON SERIES [I]

Sorry for the delay my people, I promised to gist about this our ogbonge honeymoon, I’ve just been trying to put things together jare. There’s a video to go along with this post so after reading my tori, you can feel free to click and see what I was describing. I need to break it down into different parts. Today will be the introductions and tour: so Bobo and I got married and went on our honeymoon to Dubai and we stayed at The Burj Al Arab- The most luxurious 7 star hotel in the world!

Let me confess, during the competition I didn’t pay attention to the honeymoon offer bcause I didn’t believe I would win sef, when we won and I heard the name of the hotel, I didn’t think it was ghen-ghen as well. You see, I’ve never been to Dubai and the only time I hear about Dubai is when people want to go shopping for stuff, so in my head, Dubai was like Onitsha market. Forgive me, I don’t know why that was my imagination.

DEAR SISI: WHEN DO WE NEED TO HAVE THE LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP TALK?

 "Dear Sisi Yemmie.
Congrats on your wedding to your love Bobo. Your pictures were so lovely.
I'm not sure if you do this whole advice thing but here it is I have been dating my boyfriend officially for 4 months now, although we have been friends since November last year. We both planned on being just friends , the reason being that he is to leave to the US for his masters this month and we didn't want to start something we couldn't finish. Some how we grew really fond of each other and he asked me to be his girlfriend in April. Now he is about to leave for school in a few days time and I want to know where we stand once he goes because he could be away for at least a year and a half or more depending on how things go.
He's personality isn't the emotional mushy mushy type, he doesn't say his "I love you and I miss you "s a lot. He is more of the "fix it, let me do something macho to let you know I care about you" kinda guy. He is quite the workaholic and we already live in different towns,we only get to spend time together once or twice a month Because of both our work schedules but I know being in different countries and different time zones will be tougher because we can't afford to visit each other. At least not more than once a year.

MY EXPERIENCE AT LASERDERM CLINICS LAGOS!

Hello lovelies, about a month ago I was plagued with the worst kind of acne I’ve ever experienced, I don’t know who I offended because I have never been someone who has acne troubles. The pimples on my face were as big as egg rolls and not only were they huge, they were painful as well. So painful! I don’t know if I was reacting to anything, to the best of my knowledge I didn’t start using a new product so the only explanation for my breakout was stress I guess. Wedding planning is stressful jare.

THIS THING IS PAINING ME...

So the other day I went to buy asun from one of my favourite fast food outlets, if you've been reading my previous posts you will know the baddest asun I'm talking about.

In walks this gentleman, proceeds to be served, he wanted jollof rice with fried meat, the moin-moin looked nice too so he ordered for one. A portion of fried plantain, spaghetti and  a bottle of malt and he was done with the order. This man must be very hungry...see how stacked the plate is, but that's none of my business! LOL. Next thing that ensued was chaos.

Bros brought out his card to pay and then the attendant told him, " Sir, our POS ees not woking"...
Bros: "Come again"?
Attendant: "The mashine is not woking" he said a bit slower...you could tell he was thinking about the enormity of that response.

"MY OTHER TALENT IS COOKING..." - OMAWUMI TELLS ALL IN NEW INTERVIEW

We have the very beautiful, funny and talented singer Omawumi Megbele. You all know I love this babe.

On this episode of The Seat, Omawumi reveals everything from her first job as a receptionist, her love and respect for the late Nelson Mandela and her crush on Idris Elba. She mentioned her other talent is cooking, please Omawumi invite me to your house, I wan chop correct owho and starch, abeg. You people should help me tell her oh!

HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN HAND SANITIZER!

The news has been filled with Ebola: Oh yes...the deadly ebola! Thank God it can be prevented if we are careful where we go and on point with our hygiene. Hmmmm....I bought hand sanitizers about a month ago, before the whole Ebola drama and the tiny bottle cost about N300. I was at a supermarket yesterday and that same tiny sized hand sanitizer had N1300 labelled on it. You could tell the price tag was fresh.

THE PLACE RESTAURANT, LAGOS | REVIEW

There's a favourite place I love to eat and it is called...The Place. I always find it amusing when I'm asked, "where are you going and I respond with "The Place. It is indeed The Place to go. Here's why! It's not just a restaurant, it's a bar as well, so you will find it very busy in the evenings and weekends.

WHO I WENT WITH
See ehn, I have gone to The Place almost over 30 times and trust me I’ve gone with Bobo, my mom, Semilore’s mom, my dad, everybody that is beside me when I’m hungry! I can drive all the way to their outlets either in Lekki or GRA Ikeja. I’ve been to the one in V.I but that’s my least favourite outlet because in my opinion their portions are smaller. The Place is where I go for correct food and correct price, in fact make dem come put me on their signboard oh because of the investments I've made in their business.

TYPES OF GOSSIP I KNOW...

Something happened a few days ago that made me realize how much gossip has eaten into us; and we don’t even know it! Before I go on, I am not a saint, I don gossip wella but these days I have a constant reminder in my head about the type of conversations I have, I always find myself asking: Is this gossip? Can I say this face to face with the person I am talking about? I don't always win but I try to refrain from malicious gossip. There's a difference between just having a normal conversation about someone and deliberately saying unkind things about them. There are so many kinds of gossips but I feel these are 5 types that I am familiar with:

Gbeborun Nigeria Limited: These ones are well known gossips, there's no shame in their game.Whatever they know will be spread like wildfire. You want anybody's gist? Ask them! How they find these stories about people I don't know but they always do. And they have facts and figures, this is not moin-moin gossip oh. These are the types that will confront you with your own gist...dem nor dey fear face. Who you be??!

I MET FRANCIS, MY HUBBY ON PALMCHAT (PART 3)

We basically struggled to break the ice, so we started by sharing our likes and dislikes then our individual experiences. He kept saying ‘…back in school that was when I met this girl or that girl’. So I knew I was right, he was a cute rookie; barely knew anything about relationships. I picked up my phone and sent him a message on Palmchat:

‘Don’t worry dear, I don’t bite…it’s my first date too’.
