BOBO'S BARBECUE CHICKEN RECIPE!

On Christmas day I made jollof rice and Bobo decided to do the chicken, so I split the chicken portion in half. I fried half a batch and gave him the rest to do whatever concoction he wants to do with it. I didn't know my husband had skills...when I tasted the chicken my head was just spinning....chei! Imagine... I've been wasting my money buying bbq chicken from Uncle Sunny...no more.

I begged Bobo to show me how he made it...he obliged and we filmed it! But I forgot to take still images so all I have is the video...make una nor vex. The video is not kuku long so I hope you enjoy it! Are you subscribed to my Youtube Channel yet? Click HERE to subscribe one time.

What's the one thing your guy can cook?

Ingredients
Vinegar
Chicken
Bbq sauce
Blended dry pepper (cameroon pepper and normal pepper)
Chicken stock

Recipe
  • Spice chicken and cook for about 10 minutes. I used soft chicken and I don't add water to my chicken when boiling. I spiced my chicken with onions, ginger and garlic powder (love that stuff), salt, bullion cubes, curry, thyme (if it's not Ducros I won't use oh). Another tip, cook and marinade the chicken in its stock a night before you bbq it.
  • Mix a bit of bbq sauce, chicken stock, add some pepper, a reason of vinegar and combine the mixture.
  • Next coat the chicken with the bbq mixture. I realised that the thicker the mixture is, the better. Runny mixture won't hold on the chicken.
  • Pre heat your oven.
  • Place the coated chicken on the oven tray and place in the oven for about 10 minutes.
  • After 10 minutes, flip and allow the other side cook as well. You can choose to re-coat the chicken.

P.s I hope to do better with my recipes i.e use measurements but you know a typical Nigerian woman doesn't cook with measurements; our eyes, fingers and tongues do the measuring and only experience teaches you that!

  11. Having a husband who can cook and doesn't mind cooking is a real blessing especially when mrs wife is tired and just can't muster the strength to cook anything. My husband's moi-moi is the baddest- so yummilicious good. He can pound yam as in with mortar and pestle ooo - me I can't and I have never even attempted it. He is an all round great cook. Thank you God! I

I like the look of this bbq chicken and it looks easy peasy too- uncomplicated bbq marinade. I should try this sometime
