MONDAY CHIT-CHAT: TURN UP, TURN DOWN!

Good Morning my fabulous people! How was your weekend? How dey go dey go? I can say I had a good weekend, I didn’t do everything I wanted to do but I try small sha. Traffic on Friday show me shege nor be small, so I decided to turn down small…all my body was paining me because I spent in total over 7 hours in traffic that day…tell me sorry. Before we go on, the first to leave a comment + email address wins airtime recharge so ... you know what to do!

On Saturday the first place I went to was STEERS for the burger wey I don plan for two weeks now. There was a time I was addicted to it but burger is not the kind of food somebody should be playing with and eating anyhow so I advised myself to do it twice a month and believe me I was looking forward to this day. In fact, it was some sort of reward. Nom nom nom
The next stop was the Woodin store launch, it was a very nice event. I found their fabric designs to be very pretty and interesting…I’m in love! I met some of my fellow bloggers the lovely Cassie Daves and Mide Coker! Chai…I felt like an ant close to them, such beautiful girls :D Korede Bello was there doing his thing, totorying the small-small girls…he was just giving them moves sha and they were shinning teeth. Fun event!

Make I buy this one?

Later on we went for the Lagos Seafood Festival. You sef didn’t know when it happened abi? I almost missed it. It was just on Friday that Bobo saw a banner about it on 3MB and I’m like…never heard of this before. There was not enough publicity and to be honest I’m quite upset about that because I know a lot of people would love to come. I checked their website the thing nor dey work. Really annoying…

Anyways, when we got there we happened to witness the Peppersoup Competition…nor be small thing! The girl that won did not come to play and she let the other contestants know that she nor be their mate. I think she won about 500K ! Yes my brothers and sisters, just for eating peppersoup! So proud of her!
Winner!
I'm not ya mate!
Thank you Governor Fashola
Gulp, Gulp, Gulp!
See her wincing? Nor be easy sometin
Bobo and I walked around sampling what was on offer. We bought these juicy prawns, crabs, bbq fish and peppersoup. I sha bought smoked fish and some crayfish for cooking. We enjoyed the time we spent there. Quick question, what's your favourite smoked fish? I love smoked catfish in stews but lately there's this one my mom sent to me, in Warri we call it Lady Fish but I don't know what the yoruba name is... I LOVE IT!
Yummy Crab!

I spent my Sunday cooking, sleeping and visiting my friends, which I haven't done in a while now. Sooo how was your own weekend?

Have a fabulous week everyone!

  10. OMG! Seafood festival is every year! The publicity is really poor. I remember last year when I saw the flyer days after the event. I almost cried (as per seafood fan) now again this year don pass! Chai.

See how this lady's christmas don change by just 'shaking" peppersoup. When God wants to bless you, you sef go laugh.

Loool sorry for the long story. The tin move me.
