I TRIED BAHIYAH ORGANICS ON MY NATURAL HAIR !

I've really not been using a lot of products on my hair but I find that it is necessary to invest in some good ones especially as I've not been treating this hair kindly. I would go for days without applying any sort of moisturizer, water or anything, imagine how hard the hair would be after weeks (covers face) I've gone weeks doing this and the end result is always the iron sponge hair...shrunken, tangled and hard!

Ameera of Bahiyah Organics contacted me just in time, it is a Nigerian brand and every ingredient is 100% natural. I was advised at a salon to try out deep conditioning to strengthen my hair and bring back moisture. OK. I just took out that kinky twist I did and so my hair was very dirty and very dry. Let's do this.

I received two products from Bahiyah Organics:

"Bahiyah Organics is a natural and eco-friendly hair and skincare range made with carefully sourced organic certified raw ingredients. Every product is made in small batches and always by hand, this allows us to maintain the superior quality. They are packed full of essential oils and antioxidants, contain zero harsh and unfriendly chemicals or preservatives"
  • The Deep Moisture Hair Mask - It is described as an Intensive moisturizing hair and scalp conditioner.is packed full of softening, strengthening and growth boosting butters and oils. It is suitable for natural afro and chemically processed hair. Ingredients: Shea Butter, Avocado Butter, Peppermint Oil, Jojoba oil, Honey and Lavender oil. The price is N4000
  • Coconut Milk Shampoo Bar -Is a rich moisturizing coconut milk shampoo is a deep conditioning treatment for dry, brittle and dehydrated hair. It soothes irritated scalps and leaves the hair silky, soft and manageable. The price is N3800

Just showing you the length of my hair :D
The first product I used was the coconut milk shampoo bar...bar...bar! I've mentioned this before , I don't like washing my hair myself. Seeing hair in water irritates me and then seeing hair stuck on a bar of soap gives me chills. I've thrown soap bars away before because I found a strand of hair on them, even though it's my hair oh. However, just so I can experience using this product myself, I tried it. I did not die. LOL. The  next time I used it was in a salon.

I love the shampoo, it lathers up quickly  and smells really nice, as you would expect coconut to smell. Lather makes me feel like the product is working...have you ever used a shampoo that takes a lot of product before it lathers? It ends up being wasted. I can tell this shampoo bar will last a long while.

Next I applied the Deep Moisture Hair Mask. This product reminds me of Nigerian peanut butter (Ose Oji) it's used to eat garden egg. Yum Yum Yum. That's the consistency of the product, very thick and it was a bit creamy, maybe because I placed it at normal room temperature. Otherwise it can be pretty solid and difficult to apply. The packaging is alright, it came in this tin.

It is very very moisturizing, after applying it I covered my hair with my shower cap and went about doing my business. Bobo's face was like "which one is this again"...I took it out after 30 minutes and washed my hair with the shampoo bar again. Why do I have to do that? All this thick hair mask needs to get out and the shampoo bar cleaned it thoroughly.
Deep Moisture Hair Mask

This is my hair after, I'll admit, it was very soft and moisturised like it had seen better thing. Can you see how defined the curls are? It felt so good to run my hands through the curls...I kept playing with it. I believe if I keep trying on this mask, deep conditioning often and generally take care of my hair more, it will be beautiful and then grow to that length I've been eyeing...

Great product and I'll definitely recommend it! Especially the mask.
