HONEYMOON SERIES 2 : FOOD CHRONICLES FROM DUBAI - AL MAHARA, ALI'S BBQ, ASIA REPUBLIC, CHINA TIMES...

Hey lovelies! I still have a couple of more posts and videos about the honeymoon, this is a series remember????In case you missed the first one: click here to see! I've been unable to get to the hard drive I stored them, but seeing Berry’s post yesterday and today about her Dubai honeymoon gingered me to fix up! Go visit her blog to see what she and her hubby got up to - most of which Bobo and I did not do…next time Dubai, na you and me!

Today’s post is going to be my food waka: eating good food is my number 1 fun thing to do…Sisi Yemmie olounje! My food chronicles will start from our breakfast buffet every day at the Burj Al Arab, I LOVED IT! I never missed it because that meal took me till evening when most of the restaurants were open (because it was fasting period most restaurants were closed). So our first food adventure is breakfast at Burj Al Arab! Use your eye to sample wetin we chop:

We had alot of Asian food as well...I love their meals! We went to Asia Republic and the food was as delightfully delicious as promised. This was in Antlantic City. Remember it was fasting period? I was surprised to see them open during the day...however it was coded. They blocked off the entrance and na only who know road know say food dey inside. I was so happy because I was tired and hungry and was ready to eat Bobo's arm!
When we went to Wild Wadi Waterpark, we stopped for a bite at Ali's BBQ. It was lovely but not the lovliest i've tasted so far. What I loved however was their customer service. I ordered for one item but what they brought me did not resemble what I pointed on the signboard that I wanted. The attendant apologised and quickly brought me what I originally ordered and let me eat both! LOL
My favourite place to go was China Times. I have a review on my blog, you can see it here. I loved it! The price was right and everything was yummy! I visited it twice and if I spent more time in Dubai I'd have it everyday!
Now to the finale! So from our arrival at the Burj Al Arab everyone had been raving about the Al Mahara Restaurant within the hotel. One reason was- there's a famous fish named George everyone loves. Number two reason was - it's an aquatrium restaurant so new experience. Number three was - it was exclusive. Naim we carry oursef go there. We were told to dress specially for it, but Bobo didn't bring a suit and tie so he just wore his shirt and tucked it in. When we got to the door, Bobo was kindly given a suit to wear...LOL. They don't joke!

Anyways, it was extremely romantic, dim lights, soft music, personalised service so I couldn't be taking pictures anyhow like a bush girl. The people there were already looking at me weird. They placed us on the prime table and that made me feel special.

Lets come to the food. Lai lai, I nor go chop here again because it was oyinbo food. I did not understand the taste, but the other people around us looked like they were having fun. LOL. Oh and guess how much Bobo paid? Almost 80,000 Nigerian naira (converted)! I vexed ehn...I know how many buffet i for chop with that kain money. Well, it's a special honeymoon dinner...once in a lifetime experience...I forgive him. LOL
This is GEORGE
I was given a rose
