TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED ABOUT SKINNY GIRL IN TRANSIT S3E6!

There are only a few shows I enjoy watching, one na this Skinny Girl In Transit that is currently giving me hypertension. If you're not watching SGIT, you should be, and then you should watch Sisi Weekly too! Those are the two hottest Nigerian shows on YouTube now. Shameless plug, I don't care! LOL The latest episode has got Nigerians reacting...I'm sure that is what the writer wanted na. Nigerians are angry. Let me tell you why: (Spoiler alert...you can exit now if you didn't watch the last episode)

If you've been following the show you will know that Tiwa, aka Man Boutique has been "hoting" lately, with men fighting to date her-her market dey sell in pounds and dollars. Even mammywater fine  Shalewa has been asking which cream she's using and the soap she is "baffing" with because the way she magnets these guys is on another level.

Anyways, that's how Tiwalade went to Abuja in S3E6 and just fall all our hand there yakata. How? She had a one night stand ni. We never esperrrrred it! As I was watching I was waiting for the next scene to show that she was day dreaming again...only for me to see that truly truly this child did something...my mouth just open gbagaa like that. One Night Stand Ke? Osheeeeey Bad Badder Barrrrdest! I'm still trying to picture Mummy Tiwa's reaction if (when? as per scandal loading next week na) she hears about it.

So after watching I scrolled down to the comments section see what my fellow Nigerian's are thinking and this is my summary of their comments on why they are upset:

1. Because : We don't do One Night Stands, it is only Oyinbo movies that do that one.
2. We already have hashtag for #TIDE17....woz all diis?
3. We thought Tiwa was a Christian and Virgin. As is expected of every female in Nigeria before marriage.
4. Tiwa was not even sober after round one, she did round two! Ah!! She haff join bad gang! Lol
5. At 30, she should know better! Older and wiser abi? That's what they said.
6. Women must not have sex before marriage. Must NOT! According to the comments.
7. Ordinary Kiss she cannot give Mide but went and did one night stand with a total stranger named after air-freshner (Febreeze)
8. Kids watch SGIT and would think this is normal behaviour.

As I'm sipping zobo waiting for next weeks show I just want to ask, what do you think is about to happen? Plus, when Tiwa said her heart belongs to someone else I was like "Oshisco...igbayi laro"...but who was she referring to? Nathan abi Mide? What do you think about the last episode?

  1. We neva experrred it ooo! Tiwa and one night stand in the same sentence, absolutely mind blowing. But I like it, it keeps the show real. Tiwa was starting to be a bit too uptight and righteous, good to know that she is human like the rest of us. A lot of Nigerian ladies under 50 indulge or have indulged in a one night stand at least once but because of the condemnatory nature of our society, they keep it on the very down low. So SGIT keep keeping it REAL...

  3. Lol Sisi, Walahi you got me laughing yakata all over the ground. Even me sef, I replayed the episode just to be sure what I was was right. Tiwa fell out hand but it's a show... Just a show. However, it should be reliable and like you said, one night stand is not our thing in Africa... Abi Tiwa has started watching Toke Makinwa's videos ni 😂
I think that someone probably saw Tiwa and Febreeze (air freshener 😂) flirting outside and took a picture... OK just guessing, u have no idea. I really can't wait till this Friday o. Mama Tiwa will take her for deliverance if she hears this... And poor Mide will be so heart broken 😔
Thanks Sisi for making me laugh so hard this Monday morning... You're truly the best! Greet Tito for me o 😘

  4. Me I'm just waiting for what the scandal is about. 😃😃😃 and who madam Tina's heart belongs to. As for one night stand, body no be fire wood na

  5. At the end of the day Tiwa is a 30 year old woman that has agency over her body and it is her prerogative what she does with her body. I think it's wrong to impose our own moral ethics on anyone and say that women must not have sex before marriage. Women must make decisions for their own life. You may not be happy with a fictitious character's decision but they are ultimately hers. As women we need to stop policing other women and just mind our own.

    1. Most reasonable comment. And what is all this gist about it not being a nigerian thing. It has always been a thing in Nigeria since I was a teenager.

    2. Thank you for the reasonable comment. To imagine Sisi Yemmie makes it a blog post. Hmnnn Nigerians its a soap Opera. Stop the holier than thou attitude. Between Tiwa is not a virgin. She dated before. So its not like a stranger disvirgined her. The way you all are going about the explanation as if its real life is ridiculous.

  6. I was really disappointed too... Was looking forward to #TIDE17 myself... Already imagining how Mide will feel wen he finds out..

  7. I was very disappointed to say the least. All I know is that they've lost a viewer. How can a Christian have one night stand? We were enjoying the show until they brought in fornication. I hope parents will educate their children that they don't have live like that.

May God uphold our youths in Jesus name

    Sexual purity is the standard.

  8. Okay o....i am the only one who hasn't seem this show (i guess)

The comment about one night stands being an oyinbo thing just thee me off biko....we see it everyday even from very modest abi moral people.

Sometimes it happens as a mistake, other times its just a decision. Whichever way....we cant be judgemental. That someone sins differently from you does not mean your sin is better o.

We are all flesh and blood, we all fall.(even if not in a sexual context)

like I said, I haven't seen the show, so cant say what it teaches kids. But PG is adviced.

    1. its a bit of a stretch to say that happens daily in Nigeria. Don't confuse Nigeria with Obodo Oyinbo lol

  10. Lol. And to think I too was very disappointed. Not in the character Tiwa, but in the idea that the creators could inject immorality into clean humour. But after this post, I realise how hypocritical I must be and I am amazed at myself. I thought I was broad-minded!
Anyway, to be honest Tiwa hasn't done anything many Nigerian girls of that age range don't do. Why are we projecting our utopian ideals of morality on the show then? I was just a bit ticked off that it had to be with an oily character like that Air Freshener. His pick up lines are so weak and he's not just correct at all. LOL. Whatever the case they have my attention now, that's for sure.

  13. Hahaha. Me I wasn't disappointed oh, so what if she had a one night stand? It happens in Nigeria and I feel like some Nigerians need to seriously cool down and stop with the heavy judgement. She's is 30, which means she is capable of controlling her body and making decisions. All we have to wait to see is the consequence of that decision. I liked that finally, Tiwa opened up and did something jare. She was becoming too uptight if you ask me. And some people should not pretend like this is not the normal thing that happens in Nigeria. Smh. I'm just tired of all the judgement biko. If they don't want to watch again, oya bye bye to them.

  14. It was disappointed. Though a lot of ladies are indulging in sexual immorality but a one night stand? With a total stranger? From across the boarder? They really messed up the story line. She could as well sleep with Mide given their chemistry of attraction but not a one night stand. There are still decent people out there the media shouldn't try so hard to corrupt us all. I hope they restructure and make it look like a dream.

  15. I was actually shocked because I felt Tiwa is too good to fall for that guy just like that.I can't imagine how Mide will feel if he finds out.Im crushing gan on that guy.Anyways looking forward to the next episode like kilode.

  16. This episode was mind blowing. I never expected Tiwa to have a one night stand. She was against her sister dating a married man now she went and did this. It was a great episode and I believe it just tells us Nigerians that people do these things. We need to stop fooling ourselves and face reality. It might be just a Nigerian series but this is fact. Brace yourselves you all..

  25. But seriously I don't think this should be a post. We are always too quick in judging people's action meanwhile the cockroach in some people's wardrobe, jeezzz...let's just seal our mouth. We have different ways of showing our emotions/weaknesses. Not everybody can stand the test of time. Yes, she had one night stand,so? If you dont like the show again, stop watching. I am not a party to judging people not nice and moreover sex is overrated, Nigerians will be forming holier than thou meanwhile na dem dey do abortion pass abeggi, save me all dze judgemental craps. Its a show and it is real, if you dont like it, waka pass✌
