REVIEW: THE BANKY AND TIWA SHOW!
REVIEWS Friday, January 10, 2014
I love to do all kinds of reviews and today we're reviewing The Banky and Tiwa Show! Just in-case you were not aware, Banky W aka Yes/No and Tiwa Savage aka Kele Kele Love have come together to create a show which promises to be exciting. I love that these two are doing it together and I hope that it is a hit! You can watch it on Ebony Life TV (DSTV)
The episode I saw was titled Addicted To You and it was just about discussing addictions, Seyi Law, Tosyn Bucknor and Lynxx Utunnu were guests and I particularly loved the energy Tosyn brought to the show. Who knew Lynxxx was a lover of tea??? And Tosyn admitted being addicted to coke, and falling in love. Lovergirl l'omo! LOL
I have to say that Banky seemed to be having a good time, he was very vocal and interactive with the guest and camera, I was actually surprised at how he composed himself as if he's been doing this for a while. In fact he talked for both Tiwa and Himself.
On the other hand Tiwa seemed to be a bit withdrawn, maybe she's camera shy. She wasn't doing a lot of talking and some of her gestures were quite unnatural. Why would I say she seemed withdrawn? It's because it showed in the way she was sitting and gesturing...At one point she had both hands under the table...it was quite awkward because how do you interact with the viewers when your hands are underneath the table? I appreciate that she went out as a "reporter" to get opinion from people, so that was cool.
The set was ok, I guess it is still work in progress, I believed they use Eko Hotels and Suites (read it off the credits). I am actually hoping they get a better set that will help with the ambiance of the show.
Ehen, there was something odd about the camera angles and Tiwa kept looking into the wrong camera, I don't know if she wasn't informed of the right camera sha. The audio also fluctuated, it would echo one minute and the next it would be normal. I bet they're working on that as well. Overall, it was a good show, I like the content and I am looking forward to more exciting shows from the Banky & Tiwa Show!
Have you seen the show? what did you think of it?
