POTATO & TURKEY CURRY/POTTAGE

I am very excited about today's recipe because I concocted it in my kitchen. I've been struggling thinking up a name for it and a Potato Curry/Pottage is all that keeps coming to my head. Remember my Vegetable Chicken Curry/Gravy back in 2013? I mentioned  in that post that Potato got make sense with this gravy and I was right! 3 years later I experimented with my idea and the results were fantastic!!! Why did I take so long to try it? Let's fast forward to the recipe. Oh, before we fast forward, can we just take a moment to appreciate my food photography journey? LOL. The pictures of that recipe then vs now...the difference is clear. That's growth!

HOW TO LOOK 10 YEARS YOUNGER!

Can you take a minute to look at the mirror? Are you pleased with what you see? Do people keep asking you if you’re getting enough sleep? Do you get scared when your birthday approaches? If your answer is yes to it all then Botox and fillers are the solutions you need.

HOW TO SUCCEED IN A TOUGH ECONOMY! YES YOU CAN!

The first time I met Mr Kelechi Amadi Obi was when I was preparing for my wedding in 2014. My wedding was organised by My Big Nigerian Wedding (it was a competition where my husband and I won a free wedding (forreal...see it HERE, HERE, even HERE sef). Mr Kelechi was the official photographer and he took some of our pre-wedding photos. When I met him for the first time I was basically blown away by how charismatic and passionate he was about everything he was talking about. He had a glint in his eye, and he would gesticulate dramatically-it was infectious! LOL. He talked about so many things, Bobo and I were so drawn into his conversations.

SISIYEMMIE'S SOUTH AFRICAN TOUR | DIARY DAY 5 | MPUMALANGA- WHERE THE SUN RISES

On the 5th day of our time in South Africa, we moved to Mpumalanga, and it is Zulu which means "the place where the sun rises from"...I even joked about calling Tito my "Mpumalanga" 😍. Mpumalanga is in the East of South Africa. Tourists come here for a variety of reasons but majorly for Kruger National Park which is a huge nature reserve with abundant wildlife including big game and then there is the province's iconic Blyde River Canyon, one of the largest in the world!

HOW TO MAKE AKARA!

Akara is a popular Nigerian food made from beans. The beans is peeled, washed, blended, mixed with a few spices and deep fried. Akara can also be called Bean Cakes\Bean Balls and in some parts of Brazil and other parts of West Africa it is called Acarajé. I know, I know...Akara does not need any introduction, but I have come to the realisation that Nigerians are not the only ones who check out my recipes, hence, the description.

SISIYEMMIE'S SOUTH AFRICAN TOUR | DURBAN DIARY DAY 3 | DURBAN JULY 2016

One of the highlights of coming to South Africa was to attend Durban July. I didn't understand how important this event was until we arrived in Durban and most people were talking about it. We were told to wear "bottom box" and I remembered that I brought nothing. So I took a cab to Gateway Mall-I was so happy to be there. See ehn... do you know the joyous feeling of being in a mall with over 200 stores? Ayayayaya! I was ecstatic-I even took a photo and then I realised why people go to Ikeja Mall to take photos. See my life outside 😂
