TIWA SAVAGE "WANTED" | THE VIDEO EVERYBODY IS TALKING ABOUT !

Mavin's First Lady don cause wahala! Hmmmm... some say she's Nigeria's Beyonce, do you agree? Some even say she's Nigerias Beyonce and Rihanna rolled into one. The internet has been buzzing since the release of this video. It was directed by Moe Musa and it shows Tiwa in a brown skin hugging cat suit giving sultry moves. While she's getting backlash for being too "sezzually" explicit *cough cough, others are commending her effort as a daring lady.
Here are some of the comments on YouTube:

"This video is advanced bullshit, first class crap, arrant rubbish and visual assault on my moral sense. It justifies defiance of the Nigerian Image of descent career focused married womanhood. I am disappointed. This na kelekele embarrassment."

"This video is beautiful and what I've been waiting for from you thanks for coming back to why I loved you!!women need to stop repressing their sexuality!"

"This video is really disappointing for a wife who is an African first of all, our traditions and morals forbid this nonsense and come to speak of it Tiwa, are you doing this for the American audience or for the AFRICAN ? because if the former is it, then you better know where your bread is buttered or you eat an empty plate. For your information American audience don't see our music videos. So set your priority right! Because if you had started with this kind of rubbish your career wouldn't have seen the limelight."

"Well done tiwa. Been waiting for a female Naija artist to charge up on some Rihanna shit"

What do you think? Is it too racy?

"I AM DEEPLY OFFENDED BY THE BRIDE PRICE APP!"

Yesterday in my Monday Chit-Chat post I shared the link to an app which calculates bride price: it is typical tradition for bride price to be paid during marriage ceremonies in Nigeria so I was very curious to know how much my bride price was, I have been told earlier by a cousin that bride price is usually not more than 100 naira, so you should have seen my excitement at being declared a Premium Babe because of my bow legs, short height, nationality...I found the app hilarious because it was unrealistic... my favourite parts were "Ada Ada in the morning and Caro at night", "Sexy Bow legs Beyonce" There is even a disclaimer before you use the app hence I didn't take it seriously... I don't think other people share my sentiments.

OCEAN BASKET SEAFOOD RESTUARANT LAGOS [REVIEW]

This review is long overdue but I've been lazy! I've been to Ocean Basket about 3 times now and I can’t wait to share my experience with y’all! Have you been?Ocean Basket is a South African brand that franchised in Lagos late 2012: I think I heard about Ocean Basket through a conversation on twitter, and then one fine day I drove past it on my way to TerraKulture so I decided to stop by. I love seafood, not a lot of it but some, like prawns, crabs, fish. Not Octopus and the likes. LOL. Anyways I need to get on with this review before I start "merrygorounding and dillydallying".

HOW TO GET MORE TRAFFIC TO YOUR BLOG : GET OVER 100,000 THOUSAND PAGEVIEWS MONTHLY!

How do I get more people to visit my blog? How do I increase traffic? How do I get more page views, isn't that what all bloggers would like?!!! I love page views, I can have them for breakfast, lunch, dinner and I will be filled, just looking at my page views! LOL. Page views can easily turn into cash, a house in Lekki and a Range Rover- that’s if you have a lot of page views. Advertisers source for blogs with high rankings and page views, and they often require proof, not just word of mouth. So If you want to make money blogging, your page views need to be mega!!! At the moment I average a monthly page view of 90, 000 -110, 000! I have over a million 1, 000, 000 views on my blog. Is that a lot or too little? Be the judge, but I’ll be sharing with you what I do to boost my blog views.

TECNO CRACKS DOWN ON COUNTERFEIT HANDSETS IN AFRICA

With the mobile phone manufacturer TECNO becoming more and more popular in African market, a great many of fake products appeared, threatening the benefits of the manufacturer, its distributors and dealers, local government and the customers as well. TECNO determined to offer a heavy blow to fake handsets in many countries in Africa, such as Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia and so on, hoping for building a healthier mobile phone market for customers.

TECNO has been taking a series of actions against fake phones. For example, TECNO has an operation jointly with local distributors and polices to attack the counterfeit handsets dealers to restrict fraud, many technicians from TECNO’s authorized after-sale service center Carlcare will be distributed to check whether a phone is genuine or not. Besides, various kind of other activities are being used to resist counterfeit products and advocate genuine mobile phones, such as public posters, multi-media advertisements and so on. Most of those actions will spread throughout Africa. TECNO also provides consumers with a website to check whether their phones are genuine or not: http://gc.tecno-mobile.com/

"Olumide met Yotan at the renowned WISE ICAN Institute at MaryLand Lagos. Yotan being such a charming and obviously happy lady was alone smiling to herself one beautiful day when Olumide took note of her and decided to get to know her personally as a friend. However, as the friendship grew, they became very close friends and began to fall in love.

Yotan:
I’ve known Olumide for the past four years and I’ve seen him grow in Christ. He’s very kind, not only to those he knows but to strangers as well. Olumide is a goal getter; when he aspires for something, he goes for it.

TRAGIC: OYOMA EDEWOR (33) SHOT DEAD BY POLICE IN FESTAC

"Someone I grew up with was killed yesterday by the police. He was raised in Festac and was killed in festac by the same people who are sworn to protect us. His car broke down and he called a towing van. While on their way, they were stopped by the police. The driver of the van refused to stop for whatever reason. When he eventfully stopped, the driver ran out leaving Oyoma Edewor and his friends to deal with the police. They were Asked to sit on the floor which they did. While explaining to the officers what had happened, one of them opened fire on Oyoma. The crowd which had gathered seeing this got involved. The policeman said he suspected he stole the vehicle. If you know Festac, you would know it's a small community. Passerby identified him as a member of the community. When the police realized a mob was growing, they fled the scene. Word spreading now is that the policeman was drunk and off duty." -broadcast from Oyoma's friend's

MOTHERS DAY- THE BIGGEST THING I LEARNED FROM MY MOTHER!

I would love to specify just one thing I have learned from my mother, but that is ‘unapologetically’ impossible: my mum has taught me so many things and I can not list them all.

Where do I start?

My mum is my biggest cheerleader, there’s nothing she believes I cannot accomplish. She encourages me to reach out for my dreams: “it is possible”; she insists and always goes to the word of God for back up. She is extremely hard working and every day I wonder where she gets her drive from… and she’s oh so determined!
I was there when she finished her secondary education, and I was in University while she was in University too! If there’s anything I have learned, it is HARD WORK!
I have learned more by watching her live life, by her doing not by her saying. She believes that life should be taken ‘je-je’ and I am not one for ‘je-je’ life, I am everywhere and try to control things that are beyond my capacity. She is ever the voice of reason telling me, “Calm down.”

She is the ultimate queen of ‘Keep Calm’.

My mum taught me how to multitask and be resourceful: nothing can go to waste if that woman is there. Yesterday’s white rice leftovers will be turned to delicious Jollof rice today, in less than 10 minutes. Lessons I cannot learn in school or from friends, I have learned just by watching her. If I ever get lost, I know she will be there in my subconscious, showing me the right path.

Thank you mum for all your sacrifice!
Happy Mothers Day to all Mothers out there!
What have you learned from your mom?

This was earlier published on Femmelounge.org for Mother's Day in March.

KOBIS LAGOS FAST FOOD REVIEW!

I love when I find new places to eat: I love it with all my being. Last weekend I went to the Palms and I was hungry, so Bobo and I decided to try out Kobis: this was my first time eating there but the second time I was seeing it. The first time I saw Kobis was at Oregun and it was difficult to decipher if it was a bakery or fast food outlet, the outlet was very colourful and caught my eye which is why when we saw it again at the palms I didn’t hesitate to try it out and we were impressed. The next day we decided to visit the other branch at Oregun. Read the review to see how it went!

JUNGLE JUSTICE AND NIGERIANS

Source Madukovich
I was doing my blog rounds this morning when I came across this story, a woman was set ablaze because she was suspected to be kidnapping some kids on their way to school. From the story it appears the kids were going to school and the woman stopped them to help get them to school but she was reported as saying the kids were hers, however when she was asked where the school was she couldn't say and the direction she was taking the kids was not in the direction of their school. To add sand-sand to the garri, when the kids were asked, they said they don't know the woman. That is how people descended on her , beat her to a stupor and set her ablaze...I mean...! This happened in Abule Egba.

ROMANTIC PROPOSAL AT THE CINEMA! BIMBO ❤ TOSIN

So I was invited by Tosin (the guy) to Silverbird Galleria yesterday (May 1st) because he intended to propose to his girlfriend Bimbo who is such a cutie by the way! I love proposals and I couldn't say no, so I went! The setting was this: Tosin took over the viewing room, so only his guest were allowed in and he was kind enough to give us free popcorn and drinks... love that.

LONG TERM RELATIONSHIPS TIPS...OH THE STRUGGLE!

It's easy to mix up Long Distance Relationships with Long Term Relationships...very easy. Long Term is dating for donkey years before finally officially tying the knot. It can be very frustrating and risky for both parties but especially women. I should be able to have a conversation  about LTR because, errrrr I have been in one for 11 years now. Please don't ask me how come, even me I don't know, I just found myself in 2014...lol.
